Welcome to All Saints
Appointment of Priest-in-Charge and Associate Priest to Chellington Team Ministry
We are delighted to announce the appointment of a married couple, the Revd Jacqueline Curtis and the Revd Peter Turnbull to minister within the Chellington Team Ministry of which All Saints Turvey is part. Jacqueline is to be Priest-in-Charge (Team Rector Designate) and Peter is to be Associate Priest (Team Vicar Designate).
Jacqueline and Peter are currently Team Rector and Team Vicar respectively in the Crosslacon Team Ministry in the Diocese of Carlisle. They both trained for the ministry at Salisbury and Wells Theological College. Prior to ordination Jacqueline worked as a counter clerk for the Post Office, then as a Youth Minister in Ireland. Peter worked as a houseparent caring for children with disabilities, and then as a director of a language school.
Bishop Alan will license Jacqueline and Peter as our Priest-in-Charge and Associate Priest on Wednesday 12th October at 7.30pm, at All Saints Turvey.
We look forward to welcoming them to our parishes.
Laurence, Emma and Nicole Nichols Cook were confirmed at St Owen's church, Bromham, on Tuesday 14th June. They are all regular members of our church choir and are also bell ringers. Please pray for them as they take the next steps in their Christian faith.
There will be another Deanery Confirmation later in the year.
If anyone is interested in preparing for confirmation, please let Rod, our Churchwarden, know or contact Jo Spray.
All Saints Church Secures Investment from National Lottery Players
We are very pleased to announce that All Saints Church has been supported by a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we will be able to carry out urgent roof repairs and fund projects aimed at developing closer links between the church and the local community. For more information see our Heritage Lottery Fund page, and the Heritage Lottery Fund's news article "Good news for East of England churches!"
We are currently in Interregnum until the licensing of our new priests in October.
If you have a query please contact a Church Warden or the Secretary (see Our People).
Services take place at 11am each Sunday, with Evensong at 6pm on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month and Holy Communion BCP on the 2nd Sunday of the month. There is no evening service on 4th and 5th Sundays.
During Interregnum the regular service pattern might vary, please click to view the current service calendar: Service Calendar.
Occasionally a priest is not available for our 11.00am service so we are unable to have a service which includes Eucharist. We do, however, still hold a service on these occasions and whatever our service you will find a warm welcome as we meet to worship God.
